A drama that deals with the themes of what a difference meeting Jesus can make through the story of Zacchaeus going back to someone’s house to pay them back what he previously stole.

This drama is set in Biblical times. The actors need to wear some kind of “Biblical outfits”. This drama shows the transformation in the life of Zacchaeus the tax collector. Wee see how his life was transformed by Jesus. We witness, in the drama, what might have happened the day after Jesus had visited Zacchaeus.

The scene depicts Zacchaeus going to someone’s house and trying to pay back the money that he owes a man, Jacob, who has been at the receiving end of Zacchaeus’s wrongdoing.

Zacchaeus explains to the man what has happened to him, how he met Jesus, but the man doesn’t quite believe that there has been a change in his life. How could someone like that be changed? It all seems a bit “too good to be true.”

There is a lot of humour in the sketch as Zacchaeus does his best to try and prove to the man he has changed, while the man believes he is being wound up or set up for some sort of fall.

Ideally there is a wooden table or stool on the set.

A good sketch to perform before a message on “transformation” or “a life changing experience!”
