Two Sides of Evangelism

A two part drama that deals with the themes of evangelism, caring for others and how we should or shouldn’t be a witness in the workplace.

This drama is in 2 parts. The first part shows us quite clearly how we SHOULD NOT speak to our friends or colleagues about our faith. We see Roger enter the office, he is greeted by Jane who works for him. Roger quotes two passages of scripture and sings a chorus before he has barely entered.

He tries to help Jane cheer up after her recent break up by guiding her towards the gospels. He gives her some pamphlets and then an application form for a weekend seminar entitled, “Broken Relationships, Broken Hearts.” He then gives her a host of invites to different events that his church is planning. Roger proves to be insensitive, brash and not at all understanding.

In part two we see essentially the same events as part one, but Roger conducts himself in a lot more of a “Christlike” fashion. He is helpful, understanding, sensitive and this has a great impact on Jane, and she actually ends up asking him about his faith.

There should be a brief explanation between the scenes, then scene two should be introduced as a preferred way for us as Christians to conduct ourselves.

Drama length-7 mins for each part approx (14 mins approx for both)
