Noisy Neighbours

£10.00

A drama that deals with the themes of Pentecost, from the perspective of a neighbour living next door to the disciples who comes over to see them because she thinks their house might be on fire.

This drama is set downstairs in the house where Pentecost took place. It is set in Biblical times so the two actors involved should be dressed in Biblical attire. We hear Sarah shouting as she enters the house to be greeted by Peter.

She is sure that they saw flames inside the discipleís house. She stands there with a bucket of water wanting to come and help put the fire out. Peter soon realises what she has seen, she saw the flames of fire that were apparent when the Holy Spirit arrived.

He tries to help her understand that there is no fire to be put out. She wonders how they put the fire out? He say they didnít the fire just sort of went away all on its own! She wonders if there was much damage from the fire? He tells her no, there was no damage.

The woman is baffled by Peterís responses. Eventually the discussion comes round to the different languages that were heard and the wind that was witnessed inside the house.

This is a very funny, but inspiring sketch. It brings the story of Pentecost very much alive for anyone watching.
